Raúl De Luca was born in
Córdoba, Argentina, in 1951.
He grow in the scope of a family with a
long musical tradition of Italian and
Austrian origin, began his studies of
accordion when he was 5 years old, in
that city.
At 10 his family took root in Buenos Aires,
where his mother put him under the trusteeship
of the maestro Ferruccio Marzán,
outstanding Italian violinist who was
director of the Orquesta Estable
de Radio El Mundo, between many
others artistic merits. Left the conservatory,
the young person De Luca raid into different
music groups approaching dissimilar music.
This is how he transit classic music,
rock, Argentine and Latin folk, tango
and jazz.
Performed in the most important stages in
Bs. As. and also in the hinterlands, during
fifteen years, participating on different
orchestras, bands, playing solo, or like
a director. In the mean time he develop
a huge carrier as a composer.
In 1982 he went to Ushuaia, where in
1984 got the 1º Prize "Ushuaia
Centennial" on his song "Marcha
de Ushuaia" (Ushuaia March) composed
with his wife Cristina Campos. From then
Ushuaia March is the official song of
the city.
He teached music in National School José
Martí and in his private academy
"Instituto Arezzo of Musical Culture.
Also composed commercial jingles and design
the music of diverse political campaigns.

Science).
In 1987, with the group "Amalgama"
was finalist in the most important folk
festival of South America, the Cosquín
Festival, with his song about Ushuaia
"Ciudad de Madera" (Wood City),
also composed with Cristina Campos.
In 1989 did a specialization for a hold
year in DNP Recording Studios, Tamarac,
Florida, US and worked parallelly like
solo accordion and pianist player and
like a member of diverse musical groups
in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
Back in Ushuaia, he assumed like Culture
Director of this County. He developed musical
activities in local bands and orchestras.
He is the creator of "Ushuaia Jazz
Festival" that goes every year since
1995. Founder of the National University
of the Patagonia Band, where he outstand
as a arranger, director and player, with
most important musicians of Tierra del
Fuego.
At the present time he has overturned the
experience of almost 50 years with music
to the development on techniques of complex
harmonies for left hand on accordion and
to education for playing Argentine pop
music, particularly tango music, in that
wonderful instrument.
El Maestro wants to transmit the secrets
of the Argentine sound and style to all
the accordion players of the world.
